Mountaineer Women Dunk Pitt-Bradford and Wells College
MANSFIELD
– Megan Smickley, Lindsey Gregg, Emily Staib
and Liz Stanton were all dual winners to lead the Mansfield
University women's swim team to wins over Well College (144-79) and
Pitt-Bradford (133-83) Saturday afternoon in Decker Pool.
Mansfield opened the meet up with a
win in the 200 yard medley relay with the team of Staib, Stanton, Sam
Contino, and Christine Gillies swimming a 2:05.73.
Smickley earned her two wins in the
100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:06.13 and the 200 yard butterfly with a PSAC
Championship qualifying time of 2:19.61.
Gregg took her wins in the 1000 yard
freestyle with a time of 11:42.78 and the 500 yard freestyle with a time of
5:41.33.
Gregg also took a second place finish in the 200 yard butterfly.
Staib won the 100 yard backstroke
with a time of 1:08.58 and the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 28.16. Staib
also took a third place finish in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:02.44.
Stanton won the 100 yard
breaststroke with a time of 1:19.29 and the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of
2:53.01.
Taylor Zilinek
won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.49 followed by Gillies with a
time of 2:10.18. Zilinek also tied with Stanton for first place in the 100 yard
breaststroke.
Jordyn Webster
took a second place finish in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 30.17 and a
third place finish in the 100 yard backstroke 1:15.00, Contino took a third
place finish in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.94 and a fourth place
finish in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:42.73, Gillies took a second
place finish in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 59.72, and Liz
Keller took a third place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke with a
time of 3:07.01.
