Swimmers fifth after
first day of John Pidgeon Memorial meet at IUP
I NDIANA,
PA -- The 200 free relay and 400 medley relay team's each finished fifth while
Lindsey Gregg and Taylor Zilinek posted 10th place
finishes to help Mansfield to a fifth place showing after the first day of
competition at the John Pidgeon Memorial meet at IUP Thursday.
The 200 free relay of Cassie Gringer,
Emily Staib, Lindsey Gregg and Christine Gillies
posted a time of 1:53.02 in the Mountaineers first event of the meet.
In the 500 free, Gregg was tenth overall out of
a field of 18 swimmers with a time of 5:39.00 with Megan Smickley finishing 12th
at 5:43.80. Taylor Zilinek, cut nearly two seconds off her morning
qualifying time to take 10th in the 200 IM with a time of 2:23.85.
The 400 medley relay team of Zilinek, Liz
Stanton, Gringer and Gillies also took fifth place with a time of
4:26.02.
