swimming adds three more recruits
MANSFIELD -- The Mansfield University
Women’s Swimming Team is very pleased to announce the signing of three new
student-athletes.
Meredith Foster (Towanda, PA/Townada),
is expected to have an immediate impact on the sprint freestyle events and all
relays. “Meredith has a very strong desire to win and improve,” said head coach
Ian Coffey. “From the first time I met her, I could tell she wanted to come to
Mansfield and make a splash in the conference. “
Emily Staib (Riverside, PA/Danville),
will be counted on in the sprint freestyle and backstroke events. Coffey said,
“Emily can be counted on to lead off or anchor our medley relays as well as play
a big role in our freestyle relays. She comes from a good program and will do
very well here in our program.”
Cassondra Griger (Dingmans Ferry,
PA), is a butterfly/freestyler who will be counted on for her range of
events. Coffey said of Griger, “Cassondra can swim so many different events,
she will be an asset to our program.”
Coffey had earlier signed Lindsey
Gregg (Springfield,VA) and Taylor Zilinek (Center Valley, PA)
to National Letters of Intent and expects to sign additional
student-athletes for the upcoming season.
