A stellar high school athlete at Canton, Detweiler played wide receiver with the semi-pro Northern Tier Bruins for one season before joining the Mountaineer football team as a wide receiver this year.
An exceptional student-athlete, Detweiler is a MU Presidential Scholar-Athlete and is President of the Physics Club.
