FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mounties Fall at Millersville 83-72 – Andrae Martin Records Double-Double

Millersville – Andrae Martin recorded a double-double but it would not be enough to offset Greg Testa and Charlie Parker’s combined 58-point performance as Millersville rolled to a 83-72 win over Mansfield in a PSAC East contest Wednesday evening.

Testa and Martin put on a two-man show with each scoring 19 points in the first half as Millersville built a 46-34 lead at intermission.

Millersville would increase its lead to 72-45 over the first 11 minutes of the second half before Mansfield managed a 17-2 run with five minutes to play, closing the gap to 78-70 on a layup by Chris Greene with :35 remaining.

Despite holding a 45-29 rebounding advantage, the Mountaineers had no answer for the Millersville guards. Testa ended the game with 35 points and five assists while Parker added 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Andrae Martin led the Mountaineers with 22 points and 11 rebounds with Brandon DeShields and John Hampton each adding 11 points.

Mansfield falls to 10-11 overall and fall to fourth place in the PSAC East at 4-3 trailing East Stroudsburg (6-1), West Chester (6-2), and Kutztown (5-3). The Mountaineers will host West Chester in a Senior Day clash on Saturday.
